Vanity countertop ruined?

As you can see in the first image, this marble vanity countertop was completely etched from years of exposure to perfumes, cosmetics, and cleaning products.

How we solved the problem

Our marble honing process removed a thin upper layer of the stone, essentially erasing the damage. Honing the stone exposed a brand new, undamaged surface. We polished the surface to restore the shine this vanity top had when it was first installed.

Vanity countertop not ruined after all

Sometimes homeowners look at etching damage on marble countertops or floors and think they have to replace the stone. You can see for yourself in the lower image that even badly etched marble can be restored to like new.
