Terrazzo floor looked like a lost cause
This 1950s terrazzo floor had been covered in carpet for decades. There was a thick, yellowed layer of carpet glue all over the surface. Fine scratches from ground-in dirt gave the floor an old, worn-out, chalky-looking appearance. The first image shows how bad the floor looked.
Expert terrazzo restoration
First, we performed diamond grinding to remove the carpet glue cemented to the surface. Our honing process took a fine layer from the surface, which virtually erased the scratches and dislodged ground-in dirt. We vacuumed away the slurry (mixture of terrazzo dust and water) to reveal the brand-new surface underneath. Finally, we polished the floor to achieve a beautiful shine. The second and third images show the finished work.
